Description

First, visit the Wat Chaya Mangkalaram, a Thai Buddhist temple with a 33-meter-long reclining Buddha statue, one of the longest in Southeast Asia. Then, proceed to the Burmese Buddhist temple, Wat Dhammikarama, which was built in the year 1803.
Next, be brought to the magnificent Khoo Kongsi clan house where you can have a closer look at the ornate designs on the roof as well as the intricate carvings on the wall. After that, visit Armenian Street to view the iconic wall murals by Ernest Zacharevic, the Lithuanian artist, including Little Children on a Bicycle and Little Boy on a Chair.
Wrap up the tour of the island with a walk along Chew Jetty, the most famous of the clan jetties built in the 19th century before proceeding to the mainland of Penang where you will be brought to Kampung Agong, a Malay traditional village to experience the culture and way of life in rural mainland Penang.
